Script Scrambler 2.0
Friday, November 22, 2024
Script Scrambler 2.0 reads in your Perl source code and renames all variables and subroutines found to random characters.
It can also add random comments throughout and remove blank lines, making it extremely difficult, if not impossible, for anyone to read your source code!
The scrambled script is still a standard script, so any machine with Perl on it can still run it! But now, it's safe from hackers and code thieves.
Features:
- Run from the command line or from your browser
- Specify the maximum length for all substituted variables
- Optionally add random lines, and remove spaces
- Save list of all variables, subroutines, and catenated lines that were replaced
All scrambled scripts, including
any "required" scripts that your original code calls, are saved as the same filename but with a
.scram file extension. If you chose to save the variable list, it will have a
.vars extension. If you run Script Scrambler 2.0 from your browser, the filename is randomly generated and the variable list will not be saved.
Take a look at our
smarttag.cgi script, before and after being scrambled.
You'll be amazed how different the scripts look. Would you be able to descramble them?
